Woodgate preparing for relegation fight
Tottenham defender Jonathan Woodgate has admitted that his side could face a battle to escape relegation from the Premier League this season.

Following Spurs' 2-0 defeat at Udinese last night, the 28-year-old told BBC Sport that he and his team-mates are "one million per cent" fighting for their lives in the top-flight.

The Uefa Cup loss in Italy was Tottenham's fourth defeat in five games - during which they have managed just two goals – and they return to domestic duty with a match against Bolton Wanderers at home on Sunday.

"People say we are too good to go down but we aren't … We have got to start learning quickly," Woodgate said.

With Spurs now four points adrift at the bottom of the Premier League, manager Juande Ramos' position is looking increasingly precarious and Paddy Power is already taking bets on the next boss at White Hart Lane.

Current first-team coach Gus Poyet is favourite at 3/1, with former Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard and Croatia's Slaven Bilic priced at 8/1.

Meanwhile, Spurs are 4/1 with Ladbrokes for relegation ahead of Sunday's game.
