Louis Walsh's chances of guiding a group to X Factor glory are virtually non-existent, a betting expert has suggested.
The Irish music impresario is attempting to chart a path to success for Girlband, JLS or Bad Lashes, but none of them are currently in the top five in the betting market.
Summing up Walsh's chances, Rupert Adams of William Hill said: "The groups are not very good and Louis could find himself with little to do."
That suspicion has prompted the bookmaker to install Walsh as the 11/8 favourite to be the first manager to see all their acts eliminated, while Bet365 makes him the 8/1 outsider to be the winning manager.
Girlband are 2/1 favourites with Skybet to leave the show this weekend.
At the other end of the scale, Alexandra Burke has emerged as the 7/2 frontrunner with Bet365 to win the reality TV show, with her performances to date perhaps explaining why Cheryl Cole is the evens favourite with Coral to mark her managerial debut with a victory.
