Liverpool are title contenders, says Megson
Bolton manager Gary Megson has backed Liverpool to be one of the sides challenging for the Premier League title in May.

Despite the disappointment of their Carling Cup exit at the hands of Tottenham in midweek, Megson believes Rafa Benitez's side have already done enough to demonstrate their Premier League credentials this season.

"They expect to be in the Champions League and picking up league titles and they are well capable of building on their great start this year," the Bolton boss said.

Liverpool last won the domestic title in 1990, but their squad is now strong enough to end the wait, according to Megson.

"They've got some world-class players, backed up by some real class players, but the thing that they've all got is a really high work ethic," he added.

Bolton welcome Liverpool to the Reebok Stadium in the early kickoff on Saturday (November 15th), with Ladbrokes offering 8/13 on victory for the Merseysiders and 5/1 on a home win.

In Betfred's Premier League betting market, Liverpool are 4/1 to win the Premier League this season and their Champions League chances are priced at 12/1.
