Motor racing great Michael Schumacher believes Lewis Hamilton is capable of surpassing his record of seven world titles.
Asked on the BBC's Inside Sport programme if he thought Hamilton could go on to become Formula One's most decorated driver, the 39-year-old German replied "absolutely, yes".
Going into Sunday's season-closing Brazilian Grand Prix with a seven-point lead over Felipe Massa in the drivers' championship, Hamilton will clinch the title by finishing fifth or higher.
Befred makes the 23-year-old Englishman a 9/4 bet to win at Interlagos, with Massa favourite at 6/4 and Kimi Raikkonen priced at 13/2.
Paddy Power's outright odds for the championship rate Hamilton at 1/8 and Massa 9/2.
Schumacher, who now works as a consultant for the Ferrari team, claimed he was not worried by the prospect of a younger driver beating his record.
"It might be someone of the current or of the future that could or will do it. But I've got no problem about it," he said.
