England injury row inspires bets
People betting on football this week will be interested to see how many of the players ruled out of England's friendly against Germany tonight (November 19th) start for their clubs on Saturday.

England boss Fabio Capello's insistence on checking the injuries of players declared unfit by their clubs has put a strain on relations between the England camp and several Premier League managers, with Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard all sidelined for the match in Berlin.

William Hill offers 11/8 that all four players start for their club sides this weekend, with 40/1 available on none of the quartet making a starting appearance in the Premier League.

Graham Sharpe, spokesperson for the bookmaker, commented: "It will be a major shock if most if not all of these injuries fail to clear up in time for [the] games this weekend".

Manchester United travel to Aston Villa for Saturday's late kickoff, with Chelsea playing Newcastle at home and Liverpool entertaining Fulham earlier in the day.
